Our server was very attentive and food was promptly served. The food and drinks were a major disappointment. I have eaten there once before Food, service and ambience were all wonderful! Highly recommend-great for before a show! Atwood never disappoints--even with a polar vortex looming. Warm and friendly service, delicious and varied menu something for everyone , and fresh ingredients across the plate and courses.

Great room. Very stylish. The temperature was really chilly though. The appetizers mussels and Boudin and Brussels was very mediocre. But after the main dishes, the mussels shined in comparison. We did the Pre-Fixe for four people. The Carrot Ginger soup was solid. The trout was almost inedible. A small piece so overcooked that it curled up and a bed of over-salted greens. Dessert was ice cream? The servers and bus staff were very nice but relied solely on words, rather than using their eyes to see the situation.
When all four glass of water are full, you don't need to interrupt to ask if we need more water. When all the mussels are gone, it is safe to assume we are through, etc. I know that this is a hotel restaurant but they are missing an opportunity to be a stand out spot in the city. New chef, new menu, and a few more hours of staff training. Easy fixes. Nice restaurant in the loop Alex our waiter was great! Awesome food. Nice service. Superb building. The new version of the grilled cheese is very greasy. The menu has become limited for those who don't want bacon or chicken or red meat.
How about some fresh salads? Awesome spot! Food was fantastic and the service was great. The ambiance was cool and relaxed. We were there for brunch, but would love to return for a dinner experience. In fact, everything, even the cheese board, we saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing. The atmosphere was modern and perfect for conversation. I highly recommend dining at The Atwood! I met a colleague from out of town for lunch. My burger was very good.
Unfortunately, however, her beet salad was inedible because the beets were extremely dry. She made do with the soup. I had requested that the beet salad be removed from the bill. I don't know whether it was or not because my colleague grabbed and paid for the bill. In view of the final tally that I glimpsed, I am assuming it was not removed. I used to think of the Atwood as on the nicer end of pre-show or post work dinner but the vibe the other night was very casual and the menu was definitely more casual than I remember.
A lot of sandwiches and fewer shareable plates and uninspired desserts left me less excited about the overall experience than previously. Excellent service and tasty food. A little pricey, but I would certainly return. Overall, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the array of selection for dinner. From appetizers to desserts, we were quite satisfied!
The carrot Ginger soup. The food and service at Atwood is wonderful! The Atwood burger was delicious and their brunch menu options are wonderful. The cocktail menu offers something for everyone and did not disappoint! We were not given bread and didn't realize it until we were halfway thru meal.
Food was mediocre for the price. Food is always wonderful, great ambiance. Very average to below average food. Especially at that price point. We eat at Atwood a couple of times a year. Great location, food, and service. I had to change my reservation from 4 people to 6. I called ahead and they were able to accommodate us.
Everyone enjoyed brunch. Breakfast is best time to eat here before the city wakes up, the crowds come, and the plastic pail musicians start banging. The food is good and the coffee delicious but come early and watch the city wake up outside those giant glass windows. Service excellent but menu disappointing for dinner. A lunch menu for sure. Very delicious. Friendly service. Tasty beverages. Highly recommended.
Great Loop location. We have not been to Atwood in a few years. It used to be a small intimate restaurant that was a great spot for lunch. It has changed. They expanded into the lobby and it now feels cold.

Service was very slow! Not as elegant as it used to be, Limited chices on menu, twosome tables to close, excellent service. Great location and stylish, great drinks and easy going menu. Good ambiance, server and other staff were excellent, food was ok but not extraordinary for the price.

Hamburger was satisfying. Food was tasty -- chicken sandwich was delicious. Service was just ok. Seemed like our waiter was a bit out of it, which surprised me for the Atwood. We've always had great service so hopefully he was just having an off night. Bussers seemed to be the ones with a handle on what good service should be, not just being a food delivery person. Hope things have improved on the service end when we return. We love the ambiance, decor, location, menu and how the food is prepared. Front desk staff is very friendly and seemed concerned about our dining experience.
The place itself is in a great location and beautiful decor! We asked for a window seat and were told they had none but whenI walked around there were two open!! They did move us but only because I asked to be relocated! Service was mediocre and so was the food! We felt it had a very limited menu and my pork sandwich was very greasy!!
