Londonderry - visit the Guildhall. The Guildhall in Derry is a beautiful red sandstone building with neo-gothic and Tudor designs. The clock tower to the side is based on the design used for the Big Ben Clock Tower in London and was first completed in The Guildhall was restored following a series of bomb attacks in the s and is still the seat of the local government. The stained glass windows in the hall are thought by many to be the best in Ireland.
