On weeknights however sometimes you may be alone for hours on end with no customers which is a bit boring. The management staff has a goal of helping the employees to feel comfortable and help the customer best. Pay is low for the job that is required, and advancement is not guranteed. Employee discount was very nice. Typical day at scheel's for me was working behind a counter preparing coffee and food, as well as running a cash register.

I would highly recommend Scheels to anyone employee or affiliate. Everything that was needed to be done was fairly easy and it all kept you busy. As the company grew, they made sure that no one was left behind. Meaning that they trained you for all necessary actions that may have needed to be taken at the store. Scheels is like having fun professional work family and you make tons of great connections. We work super hard and the customer is always first, often to the detriment of the employee's sanity at times It can be very stressful, however, I do uphold the same values which has kept me there so long.
Fun and easy-going place to work with very flexible scheduling as a part time employee. Working at Scheels taught me how to connect with customers and make sure that they are always satisfied with their visit. I made many life-long friendships and am extremely happy that I chose to be a part of the Scheels team. The people I worked with there were very focused on teamwork. We all helped each other, and everyone was friendly. The customers weren't too bad, but there are always those days where you have difficult people, as any store does. I would definitely work there again.
Pay could be better. They pay a little on the light side. Fun place to work. It was a good place to work but it was not much of a challenge. The day to day mostly consisted of you approaching customers trying to sell them merchandise. Very good culture amongst the workers though. You will make plenty of friends here! I have enjoyed my time at Scheels, however management is forcing me to make a change. I disagree with their reasoning and changes. Scheels gives great customer service and is overall a good place to work..
I feel I am not able to use my strengths and abilities any longer. My job description will be changing and I feel I need to move on to utilize my abilities. My job description is now changing after I have given them 13 years of service. Overall a good job. The people are respectful, they are flexible with scheduling and it is worth the hard work you put in. I wish working weekends was more flexible than it is. I loved my time working at Scheels.

The competitive and fun atmosphere made coming to work easy; you will make your best friends here, and potentially your spouse. Its the Scheels blessing Scheels cares about their employees and community. Plus the discount is fantastic! Scheels was a nice place to work. The managers were very nice people. A typical day was helping customers pick out items for their homes, running the register and selling fudge.

Some days I had to make the fudge. Better pay would probably still have me there. I loved my co workers and the core values of the company but I was not given the raises I deserved and my hours were cut. When I went to Part time my direct supervisor would purposely schedule me when he knew I could not work because of my other jobs. He will ride night and day with a five-minute restroom break every hour and a minute stretching break every four hours, from 3: Scott plans to ride the Scheels' Ferris wheel for 50 hours straight to raise money for the Larimer and Weld food banks.
James, a radio personality with Big During his 50 hours, from 3: Donations will be accepted in store during the 50 hours, by texting "feednoco" to or online at feednoco. The need for food assistance is steadily growing at both food banks, in part because of the rising cost of housing in Northern Colorado, noted Heather Buoniconti, development director for the Food Bank for Larimer County.
That is what spurred James, as a mayor and a radio personality, to embark upon his hour challenge. I think it's unacceptable that kids go to school and not know where their next meal is coming from.
So he will ride for 50 hours with five-minute bathroom breaks every hour and minute stretch breaks every four hours. Yes, he will ride all night, catching any Z's he may get in his seat on the Ferris wheel.
